The 6th Ave Business District (SABD) is seeking a highly organized and creative Event Coordinator to plan, execute, and manage the annual 25th Art on the Ave (AOA), in collaboration with the Event Producer. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a beloved community event and showcase your event planning expertise.

About the Role:
The Event Coordinator (EC) will work closely with the Event Producer and SABD Board to ensure the AOA is a resounding success. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for community events and the arts.
Compensation: $5,000
Key Responsibilities:

Vision & Theme: Develop the theme, atmosphere, and overall visual impact of the event, including scouting and securing performers and coordinators for all stages/areas.

Event Logistics: Plan, execute, and manage logistics, including permitting, developing and maintaining a timeline and work plan, financial tracking, and all required public safety plans. Maintain detailed Status Reports, including copies of these items.

Public Relations & Promotion: Assist the Event Producer with public relations and promotional materials, and contribute to their execution when necessary.

Budget & Financials: In partnership with the Event Producer, adhere to the AOA event budget as approved by the SABD Board. Maintain awareness of fiscal responsibility, proper bidding, and budget parameters. Provide financial reports for areas of purview to the EP and the Board.

Footprint/Vendor Map: In consultation with the SABD Board, determine the event footprint and create a detailed event map.

Standards: Maintain the highest standards of service, teamwork, diversity, equity, and professionalism.
